Growing up, my dad always told me whatever I did as a job or career, I should own it.  I did not know what that was going to look like for many years.  I went on to become a Licensed Physical Therapist that has practiced for over 16years.  Growing up, I figured choosing a career in healthcare was a safety net.  I mean, healthcare professionals are always needed right? 

Boy, was I in for a rude awakening!

Turns out, the next major pandemic would change how I looked at things.  Here we were, at the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and everyone was in such a panic because of the unknowns about this disease.  My employer, a large hospital in the metro Atlanta area was cutting back on surgeries to preserve PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) needed to protect staff taking care of patients with this new scary infection. 

What happened next I would have never imagined. When picking a career I never thought I would be without a job in the healthcare industry. 

However, as a contracting therapist I was the first line to be laid off when the surgeries were cut off.  Here I am, a professional now relying on government assistance. Those 2 1/2 months were a turning point for me.

Realizing that even as a professional, I was no where close to where I needed to be financially stable.  That time off allowed me to really start to think of  what I needed to do to ensure this never happened again.  One day while scrolling through facebook, I ran across an Ad.  It was Billy Gene with Billy Gene is Marketing explaining how he would rebuild his franchise in 30 days if he only had $5.  I was truly intrigued, I purchased this course, and although I never had the time to go through it before I was called back to work.  I began following Billy Gene and some of his live trainings.  I went on to go through his Advertising Certification Program, where I was able to develop a skillset where I could start my own agency, but even more importantly, I could help eager and hungry entrepreneurs wanting to expand their business create a marketing strategy that would skyrocket their businesses forward.

After hours and hours of trainings, webinars, and reading books, I was able to now take this knowledge and implement it.  

I began to realize that many of these trainings and webinars, captured my attention and intrigued me into pulling out my credit card because of the value I received.
